Commonwealth Games Society announces inclusion of weightlifting for athletes with disabilities at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Currently out-of-retirement and in training for this event - July 2002. If all goes to plan this will act as a "closing of the circle" for my athletic career, ending where it all began in the north west of England.

November 2000
IPF announce open events for lifter with disabilities, removing the ban on amputees from sanctioned events.
