Cowart
decimates World Record at US
Nationals
Shea Cowart a relative newcomer in the
sprints decimated the combined classes of
AK dbl BK and single BK for new world
record of 13.65 cracking her own previous
WR by almost 1.5 seconds.
Brian Frasure the United States top BK
sprinter equalled the world record in the
100 meter sprint equaling his own record
set in Germany last year.
Frasure beat out previous record holder
Tony Volpentenst and other Paralympic
medal hopeful Marlon Shirley to maintain
the crown of world fastest leg amputee.
The US sprint team could receive a 1-2-3
at the Paralympics, but the Australians
might have something to say about
that.
In the field events Shawn Brown
suffered his first home defeat in recent
memory in the BK shot put to Ed
Cockrell.
