Right now he is the most famous, if not visible amputee on the continent if not the whole world, Eddie leads the pack in three month run-up to the $500,000 prize on the hit voyeur tv program Big Brother.

Born in Manhasset, New York on February 24, 1979, Eddie is, at age 21, the youngest of the Big Brother House Guests. Eddie is one the top basketball players in the United States and has surely given up a spot on the US Paralympic team to be on the Big Brother show.

Eddie is a recipient of a four year scholarship and is a junior at the University of Texas at Arlington with a 3.5 GPA. He has worked the last two years in an engineering apprenticeship program at B&H Aircraft in Farmingdale, NY. At 12, Eddie lost his leg to bone cancer. After a year and a half of chemotherapy, he became involved with wheelchair basketball with the long Island Express. Basketball is his favorite sport, but he has competed nationally and internationnaly in other wheelchair sports, including racing, swimming and field events.

In 1995, Eddie joined the Arkansas Junior Rollin' Razorbacks. In 1996 he traveled to Ireland with the Irish Youth team and in 1997 he competed in Australia with WSUSA. He has made the All Tournament Team at the 14th and 16th Carousel House Tournament and was chosen for All Star Team for three years in the EWBC. In 1997 Eddie was awarded MVP at the TX Junior Invitational Tournament.

Eddie attributed his fine ball playing to his coaches and the fine players that he has played with and against throughout the years. He feels that he holds a part of each and every one of these players and their skills within himself.

Eddie's presence on the Big Brother show, has already shown that he has a life of experience most of the other contestants lack, even being the youngest in the house. As of last Thursday (July 13) he was touted as favourite, because America loves and "underdog".
